User Roles

Understand admin, reviewer, and viewer roles.

BillerPlus has three user roles with different permission levels.

Admin

Admins have full access to everything:

  • Process invoices (approve, reject, request info)
  • Manage all inboxs
  • Invite and manage team members
  • Access billing and subscription
  • Export data
  • View analytics

Best for: Company owners, finance managers, AP team leads

Reviewer

Reviewers can process invoices but cannot manage settings:

  • View and process invoices
  • Use bulk actions
  • Export data
  • View analytics

Cannot: Manage inboxs, invite users, access billing

Best for: AP staff, accountants, department managers

Viewer

Viewers have read-only access:

  • View invoices and their details
  • View status and history
  • Search and filter invoices

Cannot: Take any actions on invoices, export data

Best for: Auditors, executives needing visibility, support staff

Changing roles

Admins can change a user’s role:

  1. Go to Team in the sidebar
  2. Click on the user
  3. Select a new role
  4. Save changes

Role changes take effect immediately.
